Staley Bible

This old leather-bound Holy Bible was published in 1854 in New York by the American Bible Society. It is spotted and stained and cracking at the binding. It has many pressed objects between its pages: a feather, flowers, plant seeds and leaves, hair, bits of ribbon, cloth, paper cutouts, remembrance cards, and newspaper clippings. Most importantly, four pages found toward the back include handwritten entries with marriage, birth and death information for members of the Staley family. In some cases the handwriting is very difficult to decipher on these Family Record pages. Here is an attempt at transcribing the pages with links to images of the actual pages from the Staley bible.
