Laird Family
There are several connections between the Laird and Granger families; a business partnership in Nashua between Laird & Granger (lumber, coal, and farm implements), a friendship prior to Nashua (evidenced by photos taken in Toledo, Ohio), co-ownership of the Nashua (Granger) Opera House, and college friendship between Ethel Granger and Nina Laird.
There are several Laird families in Nashua around the turn of the century. The one noted below includes children who are shown in several photographs in an old album containing mostly Nafus and Granger family members. It seems likely that Hugh Laird is the Laird partner in the Laird & Granger business. However, Johnny Laird is named as part owner in the Nashua (Granger) Opera House.
